Making soap in NY

I have a friend interested in making soap who lives in the adirondacks. She wants to know the best way to find supplies and I know that she has a tight budget. Does anyone know of suppliers in the NY area who carry base oils for a reasonable price?

I'm in NYC and no can't really find any that are cheap. I buy my stuff online way cheaper.

Thanks....I think I'll tell her to check the Super Walmart first. Maybe she can find what she needs to try a few test batches.
