If there are no other additives like herbs or goat's milk, it could be.

It was just my basic recipe of CO, OO, Crisco & Castor. The FO was Warm Vanilla Sugar. I did them in a pringles can & those soaps are fine. The leftover soap I tossed in silicone heart molds and the hearts ended up with the spots.

It could also be the fragrance. Are you sure you mixed thoroughly?

Hmm... maybe I didn't mix it thoroughly. I usually do but I might not have.

How old is the soap? If it's freshly made, it's probably fragrance pockets as other posters have suggested.

Its only about 3 weeks old so maybe it is fragrance pockets. Phew. Still ugly though...just gonna toss em. There are only 2 so its not worth rebatching.
