I've been researching M&P recipes like cazy! And some of the video tutorials and Bramble Berry tutorials make the soap look really glossy when done. Does anyone know how that is achieved???? :?

The mold should be really clean before you pour,l have also found by experience that if you try and take the soap out of the mold too early the surface can be spoilt.Wearing gloves to keep finger prints to a minimum when handling the soap is another good idea.

With the spritz of alcohol, would you then rub the excess all over the soap?

No what you do is ...when you pour your soap into the mold the backside is facing you, right away spritz the soaps....you will see all the tiny air bubbles that may have occured while pouring disappear, this also leaves a glossy appearance when dry. The tops of the soap looking glossy in the photo may be the photo itself. Try just a light spritz into the molds just before pouring and see if the TOPS are glossy as well. :D
