Hi everyone,
I've been looking at using salicylic acid in a suspending body wash base to disperse the powder. All my research into salicylic acid suggests it should be dissolved, but if it's a suspending bodywash does it actually need to be dissolved? Won't it be just as effective as long as it's distributed evenly throughout the base?
Thanks!

Making Cosmetics sells salicylic acid and says this: "Salicylic acid can be added also in powder form to a finished cream or lotion without dissolving it first in water or another solvent." (See the Use section under the Description tab.)

I would also refer you to this article about salicylic acid topically for cautions.
