What we know

- Almost 200 fires burning across the country

- Nine people have been killed

- More than 900 homes lost in this year's bushfire season: NSW - 789, Queensland - 40, South Australia - 72, Western Australia - one

- Thousands of outbuildings destroyed or damaged, stock and crops destroyed

We've also been horrified at the news.... Been keeping you guys in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry. So scary.
Don't take any chances. Fires are unpredictable and devastating.
I know it sounds trite, but is there any help we can provide?

The US and Canada have sent fire fighters over to help. Hope they can get on top of it. All we need is rain. We got 5 mins rain last night and it was so light, all it did was wet the road. I know that people in California know what's it's like, unfortunately it's a way of life here, there are bush fires every summer. A lot are lit .

If you want to help, help is needed for the animals, here is the link for you to read, this is ongoing.

Another bad day for fires today. Here it is 39C and a lot hotter elsewhere. People have fled to the water and waiting in the water, 2 people died. Day, looked like night with fires burning.
Lot of fires are in the far south coast of Sydney, lost homes. Will check in with PJ, she is in the fire area.

Just heard the sound of fire engines here, hate that sound .
