OK...I did my second batch of CP....and it came out great.

Orange spearmint.....with organic spearmint leaves.

My soaps are still very, very soft (kind of like cheese cake) when they come out of the mold, but other than that...fantasic. I had to leave the batch in the mold for a week before it was hard enough to unmold and place on racks to cure.

I used shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil and almond oil.

Anyone have any idea why my soaps are coming out so soft??? Are they supposed to be that way?

And why didn't anyone tell me that CP was so much fun?

Kathy, what calc did you use?

Why didn't you tell me MP was so much fun????

Hello. I have had 'cheesecake soft ' soaps before. I think it could be the shea butter. That or water. It happens to me more when I stuff my soaps full of liquid dairy products. They always turn out and harden just fine. Give them some time. Hope this helps. :)

are your leaves dry? otherwise they might be contributing moisture - maybe

could it be that your soap didn't gel? i've had a few ungelled batches that was too soft to take out of the mold for at least 3 days.
