    Starting to think about fall

Bendel Bean dupe, I really love it. Colored with yellow oxide and cocoa powder. Has a late summer/early fall look to me. Done subconsciously, wasn't my intention, lol.

Has anyone seen this CP video on Youtube?

I've seen it. My initial thought was, I hope the average person watching doesn't think this is how ALL handmade soap is made! Upon further reflection, It seems she's been making soap this way for a very long time. She sounds knowledgeable enough, and is only advocating it for personal use. So I...

    going through gel

I caught my soap going through gel. I'm sharing this pic for the curious, since gel vs non gel is discussed often on here. This soap is 100% coconut, unscented uncolored laundry bars. my soaping temp was around 120. The pic was taken about 10 after the pour.

If you could only make three

I love, love salt bars. If your worried you wont like the scrubbiness use a fine grain. Like table salt. You don't have to use the full amt. I think I used salt at 50% of total weight of oil. http://thesoapbar.blogspot.com/2008/07/salt-soap-tutorial-by-ladybug-soapworks.html

    Rebatch or wait?

I ran it through soap calc, and it gives your recipe a 29 for hardness. Which is within range. the lye and liquid amounts are ok. Could you o into more detail about this. It had over heated and separated so I had to rebatch it almost immediately

    Lovespell

Thank you! I had intended a zebra swirl. I personally like to do those at a very thin trace. I realize my trace was just a bit too thick for that, at a medium. But I went ahead a poured in that style any way. Down the length of the mold in alternating colors, at a height of 8-10 inches above...

    Lovespell

Thanks guys! here's cut pics. MegMatt927 The red I used is tkbtrading red oxide, darkened up with a bit of charcoal (it tends to go a bit rusty otherwise) Great to meet another White Stripes Fan! The song I had in mind was You Dont Know What Love Is, hence the Lovespell.

    Lovespell

another from soapsupplies.net This one I'm very happy with! :D Suppose to be red white and black (like a White Stripes album cover \m/(**)\m/) I chickened out on the amt of charcoal and wound up with gray. But I don't care 'cause it smells awesome!!

Can I make good soap without tallow or palm?

My favorite soap recipe that I've settled with is Lard, coconut, olive oil. all can be bought in grocery store. Imo it makes a superb soap that's creamy, bubbly, and gentle. Doesn't sound to me like you're ready to sell, just sayin. One other thing, a SF of 0% is a very tricky thing, you should...

    Murphy's Oil Soap

Murphy's Oil Soap is already soap.... So pretty sure it doesn't have a SAP value. MOGal if you did some research into the ingredients you may be able to make a copy of Murphy's Oil Soap.

    Aloe FO

Made this one earlier in the week, as always it's GM soap. The FO from soapsupplies.net. Smelled GREAT in the bottle, after soaping with it... not so much. All I'm getting is a weak anise smell :-? I soaped at cool temp and put the loaf in the freezer.
