i purchased some calendula and i also have some dried lemon grass. i wanted to include one of these in my next bactch, but i am unsure of how to add or when? any suggestions? i am guessing they are addded at trace just like oatmeal?

what is the best way to mix this colorant in if i am only coloring part of the batch? i read to mix it in with oils before adding lye to them. is that the only way to add this?

is it possible to use rainwater in soapmaking? would one have to boil the water first to get rid of any bacteria? or is it generally better to just use distilled water? TIA Mirka

hey ladies, when do you add jojoba oil to your soap? do you mix it in with other oils or add at trace or light trace? what about castor oil? does that get mixed in with all the oils? TIA :)

obviously any grocery store lol .. but ones around me only sell big bottles in extra virgin and i want some pure olive oil. where do you usually buy yours ?

how do you get it out of the bottle to use just a little bit ? :) also when you use a silicone mold (loaf), do you still line it with freezer paper?

how many oils do you tend to use when making soap? which ones are your favorite to use together? im totally new to soap making. been studying all the oils and all the details about everything. i plan on making a soap after finals .. in about 2 weeks. Cant wait! :)
