Hi. I never used vanilla stabilizer in my cold process soap. How much do you use and do you have to figure the water or oils with it? I have a recipe but don’t know if the stabilizer has to be in that calculation or no. Ty

and I see that they add oil to mix with colorant and titanium dioxide. Is this just xtra oil or does it all have to mix with the lye and be calculated?

;-)I have a recipe for shampoo bars. it calls for 1 1/2 oz. of tea tree oil. can I use 1 oz and not change the recipe? do you take into account the essential oil you put in for the lye calculation? thanks Julie

I really messed up this time. I poured all these oils together and it wasn't the recipe I was doing, it was what came in a kit. So, I have all these oils mixed together and I don't know how much lye to use. this is what I mixed. 1 lb castor oil 2 lbs coconut oil 1 lb. palm oil 2 lbs rice...

I am new to soap making but successfully make a pumpkin soap from a recipe. My question is, how do you figure a recipe by yourself? where do you start? How much oils do you use and how many different ones can you use. also, want to whiten some of the soap so I know that takes the titanium...

Does anyone know of adding clay to the soap to make it whipped and silky? If so, where do you buy that and how much do you add.
