    Dried orange slices

I would try doing a layered pour, embedding the slice in a thin layer wherever you want it.

    Cherry Blossom Swirl

    That is just stunning!

    Stick Blender

I agree that it would add a lot of air into the mix. I use a skewer to stir in FO and colour and minimize the bubbles. I do use a tiny frother to mix my glycerine/oxide mix to make my colours though.

Nice! I particularly like the rainbow swirl and the Queen of Hearts.

Making transparent soap for suspending objects, questions...

Pouring that sort of volume when it's already hardening and getting your pieces where you want them I suspect would be challenging. My incllination would be to do a layered pour (liberally spraying each layer with rubbing alcohol before pouring the next). Instead of pouring one big tub and...

    Soap Molds

I find that soap molds without some flex very difficult to work with. I would avoid metal molds like the plague.

    More consistent company lines?

    More consistent company lines?

Thanks all, those are great tips. @judymoody, I like EOs, but have a healthy respect for them as I know some can be irritants - I do need to learn more about them, and play around with them some more. I saw the EO chart linked to in a sticky, so that will be helpful for me.

What does your screen name mean?

Just my name - nothing fancy. 'Laura' is often taken, so I went with adding my last initial too.

    More consistent company lines?

Thanks for the comments. I'm now registered on the soap scent review board and I'll give scentworks a closer look.

    More consistent company lines?

I've been ordering a number of FOs recently from a couple of different suppliers and have found it to be very hit and miss - unfortunately much more miss than hit. Many are so not to my liking that they will find their way to the garbage rather than into any soap I make. I've heard positive...
