That's what I thought. I came across a product for pets with no preservative. They are using the vinegar as the preservative at 10%.

If you have a product containing water and vinegar do you need a preservative?

I use essential oils when bathing my dogs. I have not used them in aromatherapy for them though. I do make treats using chamomile and passion flower herbs. Works great with my hyperactive wire fox terrier.

Cats have trouble with most things. Don't even use herbs on a cat without being positive it is safe.

I have used store bought bath salts with eucalyptus and menthol. It was a bit refreshing but not uncomfortable a t a ll so I think it is fine. It helps muscles relax.

I say go for it. Don't see why it would hurt.
