How can you avoid inhaling Lye fumes while making CP soaps? It’s impossible for me to avoid inhaling lye even doing it outdoor. I could still smell chemical.

Why does the soap batter (mixed oil & lye solution) smells weird in CP soap making. Is it safe to inhale that smell? It doesnt smell like oil.. The smell fades after 24 hours..
