I tried a pencil line (I think that is the right term) for the first time today. I used Fire Cider mica from Nurture Soap in the lower section, AC for the pencil line, and uncolored batter on top. It is a RBO/Tallow/Shea soap with a fragrance blend I found for my husband. Not a great picture...

I actually made soap yesterday! It's been about a year since my last soaping day. I get focused on a different hobby for a while and can't work on any others until just the right motivation comes along. I'm hoping the soaping bug lasts a while this time!

My soapy thing for today was to order sample sizes of some new fragrance oils and more Cocoa butter wafers from Nurture Soap and WSP. I love Nurture's fragrances!

I am no expert, but I'd definitely try it! Your numbers are very similar to my favorite bars. If it was me, I'd personally lower the CO to 20% and add the difference to the lard or shea butter. I have dry skin, so I prefer coconut oil at no higher than 20%. Hope your batch turns out well! And...

I tried a mantra swirl for the first time today, following instructions from I Dream in Soap's YouTube channel. I used WSP's Bergamot and Mandarin. I split, colored, and scented the batter at emulsion. This FO is known to be slow, even decelerating for some according to reviews on the WSP...

That makes sense. I put a flat piece of cardboard on top of mine, but that doesn't feel like it seals well enough to do the trick.
