    Too soft soap

Hi there! Sorry to come back so long after last time... here's good news: I used the freezer tip to remove the mold and it worked perfectly. I notice the very smooth surface of the bar where it was in contact with the mold when still freezed vs the parts I tried to separate earlier. I guess I'll...

Colorants you can grow (or that grow in your country)

Wow... Thanks to all of you, I'm sorry Not to thank you individually, but each of you gave me plenty to think about or to try. I'll try to find seeds for the mentioned plants, including indigo, hoping I won't need too many of them as I only have a modest garden. Clays are a goo lead too, and I...

Colorants you can grow (or that grow in your country)

I don't know what heirloom carrots are, I'll have a look. I'll try to powderize carrots! :) I very doubt it for tomatoes, as I see how my gazpacho is very very light red... I can grow crocus and saffron (but hell, the quantity needed would make me a billionaire or something I guess ^^ ) Well...

Colorants you can grow (or that grow in your country)

Hi there! following the "dangers of micas" thread, and based on my personal wish to use as local ingredients as possible and/or of fair trade origin, I would like to know if you have experimented colorants that can grow in your countries. I can also extend my constraints to edible tropical...

What soapy thing have you done today?

OK, I'll keep it in mind for shampoo! :) OK. My very first soaps were on the verge of Hot Process, which means normally the saponification has finished when molding, and afterwards I still haven't have high pH even with CP. Do you know why it is so ? Can it depends on the recipe, or rather the...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Yes I use paper strips. I didn't know I had to shift up by two with this measuring. THANKS for the information! Okay, that's very weird because I thought (because I read it) the pH changed during the cure for CPed soaps, as the saponification process finishes... So you mean it's not the case...

    The Dangers of....Mica?!?!

I personaly also have ethical issues with a product that travels more than I do... I am using Indigo and curcuma for my most recent colours, but... I haven't check yet how the people who grow them are treated... :'( Stéphanie

    Hi there!

Hi There ! Here is my latest batch. It took it almost 2 weeks to harden, but I'm happy with it, with the colours and the scent which for once I managed to keep present in the finished soap... Happy Bubbles! Stéphanie

    Hi there!

YEEEEES! I guess it's easy to spot with such silly sentences! That's a funny one, too, even though it states a reality, unlike my Polish fish... :D (I get the fish wearing a jacket in Polish... ) Yes I'm on Duolingo (I'm "Stephanie-France"), not for Japanese that I began long ago, even though I...
