    How do you do orange peels or lemon peels in the soap?

    I have seen many soaps with orange peel looking stuff in them (or on top)... is it really orange peels? If so, how do you use them without them rotting in the soap... do you peel then dehydrate? I would really love to try it! Any advise?

    The vanilla soap I just made has little spots...

    but it's not DOS... it only happens when I use the Sandalwood Vanilla FO... Does anyone know what it is or why it might be happening? It seemed like the FO did it right when I added it to the soap...

    I did it, I made a line in my soap... I put a picture

    I used coco powder, I was thinking about using coffee, but too uncertain of it to try it, I am a newbie! I put the log in front of the heater to and then forgot about it, so i thought i overheated it, but it came out ok! The bottom half is Sandalwood vanilla so I am expecting it to be...

    Can you use coffee grounds to make a line in your soap?

    I wanted to do a thin line in my soap in between colors.... can you use really fine coffee grounds? I was thinking to put one layer in the mold, sprinkly thin layer of coffee grounds and then poor the next layer on it.... I wanted to use coco powder but i don't think the kind i got will work...

    It was the color that messed up my soap... see pics...

    now i am wondering what this is.... Well, everything was great with my soap, perfect thin trace, pulled some out, no fragrence, added the purple, and poof, starts to smell like hair dye and turns gray green color.... well i watched a video on using the utlramarine violet and mine does not...

    HELP.... my first BAD batch of soap... WOW :(

    Help... my ungelled soap is like butter...(24 hours later)

    I did the fridge method to prevent my soap from gelling, and I molded it at thin trace, it is now the consistancy of thick butter, will it continue to get harder as the days pass, it has been about 24 hours now, first 12 in the fridge, last 12 in room temp. It is definately a lot firmer than...

    Addicted... It's like waiting for Christmas morning.....

    I just made a batch that I think is going to turn out great, it's in the fridge, I am sooooo excited! It's lemon popp seed.... with lemonbalm essential oils... I have been making soap for a few weeks.... about 15 batches under my belt..... some partial gelled but other than that I love them...

    wanted to say hi to everyone. I do cold process soaps.... My last couple of batches have a large crack down the middle. I researched this and decided to start at lower temperatures, 110, it's hard to be patient and wait to mix! It still cracked though.... I put this batch in the fridge...
