Thanks for taking the time to answer....I think I'll play around with some other colorants...It seems like the choices are either use something that will tint the water or use something that will float on top of the water...I'll post if I find anything that I really like :)

I just made a bath soak with salts, sodium bicarbonate, and colloidal oatmeal...I used an energizing EO blend and colored it with a little purple ultramarine. I used it in my bath today and loved it except that the ultramine colorant kind of floated at the top and left a slight film in the tub...

Has anyone used polyolefin (spelling is def. off here) to shrink wrap cp soap or m & pour? I saw it somewhere online at a shrink wrap website & it looks great...thinner than pvc & you can still smell through the wrapper? I love shrink wrapping but hate that I can't smell the soap through the...

Just wondering if anyone knows of a better way to sanitize bottles other than boiling water?? I find it to be a real pain in the you know what :x I thought I heard somewhere that there is a spray that can be used??

Does anyone have experience with neem oil? I've never used it, but I've recently been doing some reading on it & I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be wonderful for many skin conditions including eczema....found this info on it...don't know how reliable the info is but it might be worth looking...

Update on silly band soaps....just finished a large craft fair and I am sad to report the silly band soaps were not a big seller :cry: Lots of people commented favorably but they didn't sell....oh welll, I guess they will go in the goody bags for my daughters b-day party

I use optiphen in lotions and scrubs and haven't had any mold issues yet. I have lotion in my cabinet thats been there for close to a year and is fine....please keep us updated on any info you find out

I just saw on brambleberry some soaps with silly bands embedded in them. Around here they are all the rage with the kiddies. I plan on make quite a few for an upcoming craft show in october. I'll include a warning label though i.e.- not for children under 4....

When you take more pictures of your soap than you do of your children :lol:

thanks again for all the info...making my own paper sounds great, but for now I think I'll stick to buying it....all I want to do is make soap....all of the time...lol! Maybe when my obsession wears down a little I'll try my hand at the paper :lol:
