    Breast Milk Soap

Try freezing the breast milk first. I used 100% breast milk as my liquid. I put the frozen lump in a plastic bowl and slowly sprinkle lye on top as I stir. Do this in a well ventilated area and keep your face away as it takes a little bit longer to add the lye. The mixture may turn orange...

    Breast Milk Soap

Congrats Fall... I don't think I would have even thought of it if it wasn't for my grandchildren. One note...freeze the breast milk and then sprinkle your lye over the frozen milk while stirring. It's also a great thing to do when your daughter leaves a bag in freezer way too long to use it to...

    Breast Milk Soap

Hi Hanna, Good for you. The batches I made for my grandson have lasted a long time and I haven't had to make any in over a year. He was born with very sensitive skin and had lots of skin issues. We have since found out he also has fpies. The breastmilk soap helped a lot and I had no problem...

    Help with Fragrance Oils

Mine have always reabsorbed...depending on the fo will determine how long it will take. I don't think you added too much fo to a 2lb batch, I usually do 1 oz to 16 ounces of oils but some of the fo's can be so finicky.

making soap with water from the gulf

I do nothing to either...I keep mine in the frig if I don't use it right away but there is nothing still living after I've mixed it with the lye. I've got a batch almost ready to use....I've been very patient...I used a new smell for one of my batches and I tried ultramarine and an oxide for...

    Vanilla Stabilizer

Where did you buy it and didn't it come with instructions? If it was WSP I believe you add either equal amounts of stabilizer to fo/eo or 2:1. You let is sit for a couple minutes after mixing thoroughly and then add to either your warm oils or to your mixture.

    Leaking FO *added pics*

I've had it happen a few times...I've dabbed it with a papertowel and left it alone, the rest reabsorbed and I've just left it alone and it reabsorbed. It took a while longer without the blot but both ended up being fine...I"m not so sure the oil that rose was all fo....there was plenty of...

    Tassi Lavender versus Tassi Lavender

Thanks everyone for the compliment. Thanks Irishlass, glad you joined in. I've read soapers who say the new version from First Choice is not the same as Southernsoapers...I can't compare that because I was never able to get it. Did you try the First Choice also? You are comparing the...
