So, I find myself having a bottle of Fractionated Coconut Oil... It's clear, it's liquid. Can it replace regular coconut oil in CP? Or HP? Possibly super fat with it?

I wasn't after a shaving soap recipe per say. I was trying to find out how Steric Acid affects soap as I consulted a Chemist friend in the attempt to create a more transparent bar. The shaving soap link was a good example of a high Steric recipe.

My 5% Steric Acid does get clearer with age.

About 18 hours, made these last night. The recipe hardens very fast... My guess is the Steric Acid.

Oi, that thread has 54 pages... I've read about 5. I am not finding anything bad about Steric Acid, it is used to harden bars. So I'm thinking for my Transparent soap, I may keep it higher than 5%. 5% Steric Acid Bar 25% Steric Acid Bar Side by Side

I was joking, yes, but I do like to point that fact out. The UK uses Imperial for a good many things still, I do blacksmithing, and often things are still Imperial for that in the UK.

Metric? What the hell is that? Just remember we put men on the moon with good ol Imperial measurements.

I just bought some Argan butter hand cream, and was really wondering if they just whipped Argan Oil. It also has Shea Butter in it.

So, are butters, such as Argan, Apricot, Mango just whipped oils?
