    Lip Balm Question

    I would personally stick with beeswax, it adds a great honey smell. If you do chose to use paraffin, make sure it is food grade and not candle wax. Here is a link with some info: http://homecooking.about.com/od/cooking ... raffin.htm

    Source for Tallow

    Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't have a Smart and Final here, but I'll check my local Costco and Sam's Club. I checked out Columbus Foods, but I don't really need 50lbs. There is a local butcher here, so I can give rendering a try if I have to. I'll keep you posted. :)

    Help for a newbie

    My dh loves glycerin soap, so I have made a lot of it for him. I use the 4c. Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave. I cut the soap into chunks and microwave according to directions. Don't overheat it. Stir slowly to help dissolve the last stubborn bits. Add fragrance and color, stirring...

    Source for Tallow

    Does anyone have a good source for tallow? I've been asked to do a small show in Nov. (my first) and the place I used to get my tallow from doesn't seem to carry it anymore. I'm looking for either a place in Georgia or an online source. I only need about 5 lbs.
