    Few latest soaps

pretty as always seven. The last pictures actually looks like a masquerade mask rather than butterfly for me.

Is doing M&P Cheating? Like a Box Cake Mix?

Some of the soaps looks so good. If I bought 1, I won't use it, I'll just put it on display. As for MP vs CP, I think both sides has pro and cons. It's up to the customer to decide which one they want to buy.

    Shampoo bar residue

Use acid rinse every time after you use your shampoo bar. It should take care of the residue. I don't like the ACV smell, so I use citric acid instead. It's odorless and very easy to use.

    Favourite Superfat?

7% for me, but I lower it to 5% if I use additives like coconut milk which will up the SF anyway.

    Reheat Lye?

I also no longer use my thermometer when soaping, I just make sure that the lye and oil are around room temperature. It works fine ;)

    Confetti Coffee Soap

Made this on Sunday, had a bad case of soda ash on top, but I like the final result after cut. It had a strange smell when I mixed the coffee and coconut oil with the lye, like the one when I made my honey soap. Something like cooked bean? No FO in it, so hopefully it will fade. I also added...

    mice !! Can I salvage soap ?

There's an article somewhere saying that even though the soap has microbe/germ on it, when you use it, the bad stuffs will cling on the bubble and wash away with the water. So technically, it was safe to use. It's up to you and your icky level though. I had a 100% rice bran oil soaps with...

    First CP Soap

My first soap is 70% rice bran oil and 30% coconut oil with 7% SF. No FO. My skin is sensitive too, so it's a good simple first CP soap with minimum fuss. Lots of bubble. On the downside, I think it melted too fast in the shower. I guess it's because the high coconut oil content.

Does 100% coconut soap always tingle a bit

This happened to my salt bar too, even though it's only 30% co (the rest is rbo). I didn't zap test, but after i wash my hand with it, I had a slight burning sensation on my skin even after 6 weeks. I didn't know when it's stop doing that, but after 4 months the soap is great. Don't throw away...

Wow, tried this Euro salt recipe, love it!

My salt bar react the same way too, but I let it cure further. I don't know when it's stop 'tingling' or 'burning' (in my case) but at 5 months cure, it's like normal soap. No more unpleasantness, only the dreaded occasional sweating for me.

    Brambleberry rebatch question.

I use makeshift double boiler with oven safe glass bowl inside a bigger pot, propped so that the water didn't touch the bowl and then cover the pot and bowl with dish towel. This also works well.

    Brambleberry rebatch question.

Hot air expands, so make sure you let out the air once in a while if you saw your bag is getting too 'full'. I think that's why your bag splits Rowan.

100% coconut oil bulging in silicone molds

My best guess is that your soap overheats. Put them in the freezer for a while to lower the temperature.
