    Substitution for Polysorbate 80

I have found a bubble bar frosting recipe I want to try and it uses polysorbate 80 as an optional ingredient. I want to include it as I don't like oil rings in the tub. Problem is, I only have polysorbate 20 and the traditional and the soft and silky emulsifying waxes from WSP.. Is there a...

    EOS lip balm dupe

Ok, I actually really love Eos lip balms and I would love to recreate them as closely as possible. Ingredient list pulled straight from their website: I have very limited experience with lip balms, so I'm not really sure where to start. I'm figuring that the olive, beeswax, and coconut oils...

    Freaking out re. Batter ingestion.

At lunch, I gave my daughter a glass of tea and she took a swallow and immediately brought it to me saying it's bad. I was puzzled and told her it was tea it shouldn't be bad. She took another swallow and insisted it was bad. So I took her cup to taste it and as I was about to pull the top off...

According to WSP's website, their aloe vera oil is mineral oil, coconut oil, and aloe extract. Can I make my own by mixing aloe powder with a liquid oil?

    Help formulating a conditioner

Ok, this is going to sound weird, but my hair absolutely LOVES my bath bombs.. it's always so soft and shiny after using one. I want to try and make a conditioner that it will hopefully like just as much, but I'm not sure if any of the non-oil ingredients are beneficial to hair as well. My bath...

    Prayer Request

A young couple at my church woke up to a living nightmare Saturday morning to discover that their 20 month old son had passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. Please keep this family in your thoughts as their lives have been forever changed.

Almost every single time I make lotion, I get this.. What am I doing wrong?? Procedure: Measure out water phase, measure out and melt oil phase. Heat and hold for 20 minutes at 180°F. Measure out cool down ingredients. Allow oil and water phases to come down under 140°F. Pour water phase...

    Unusual places to stock products?

I've had several people contact me saying they bought from me from shows and we're wanting to shop in person between shows. Thing is, I haven't had much luck with my products in the local consignment and wholesale shops because they usually have other bath and body products as well as mine and...

    Say hello to Crowley!

Confession.. I did a very, very bad thing and actually stole him from my mother-in-law's neighbor.. In all actuality, however, I rescued him from people who shouldn't have a dog in the first place. Poor little guy can't be more than 6 weeks old and the neighbors have had him for a few weeks now...

    Recommendations for a Power Inverter?

Does anybody use a power inverter for their displays? I have a Christmas show coming up and they want your booth to be decorated Christmas-y. I'm wanting to run a few strings of lights and maybe two 3-4 foot trees. I can't get electricity to my booth. For one, it's $50 for electricity on top...

    I just need to rant..

A few years ago, I was in a minor fender bender and had to have some body work on my car. The paint has recently started peeling, so I took it back to have some warranty work done to fix it. I go to get my car back, and my door latch is no longer working righ and something has been done to my...

Customer Asking for Info about Allergic Reaction

Not sure if this belongs in the business forum or not.. If so, mods, feel free to move it to the proper section. I had a woman who had received a sample soap email me stating that her 5 month old had an allergic reaction to my soap after her 5 year old touched the baby's face with soapy hands...

    Country Living Woes..

My A/C doesn't always go out, but when it does, there's guaranteed to be a heat index if 112°F.. Sorry, I just gotta rant a bit. This is not the first, not the second, but the THIRD time my A/C has gone out this summer.. It already feels like 90°F outside and it's only 7:30 in the morning.

    After Show Soap Storage

When I do shows, I package all but one bar of each scent to act as a sniffer. I like to keep these bars for use at the next show, but storage is a pain as I can't enclose them all together or the scents mingle. Right now, I just let them sit out about a finger space apart from each other, but...

    Square bath bomb mold?

Anyone here make square bath bombs? If so, would you mind sharing what mold you use? I'm looking to make more of a cube shape. I found this mold from BB, but I would prefer a plastic mold to a silicone mold.

    Phenonip and PS60 in Lotions

Hello everyone! I've been testing a lotion formula and used Optiphen Plus like always, but, for some reason, I got a fishy smell in the finished product. I'm planning to remake it with phenonip to see how it turns out, but I'm concerned about it being deactivated by my emulsifier, which...

    Daylily for natural yellow?

Has anyone tried this? I admittedly haven't done much research. The thought crossed my mind because my daughter crushed one in her hand and now her hand is stained bright yellow.
