    Why is price so important?

The photography industry is in total disarray because of this. The general public does in fact now demand and expect the hobbyist price :( and as someone who has been shooting for decades I am honestly offended by this. And trying to figure out a new career... the soap just isn't selling except...

    isopropyl alcohol & labeling

Covering with plastic wrap works for me. Alcohol doesn't. It's easier than messing with your recipe so I think you'll be happy with it.

    Oops

    Oops

Impatience ;) I had been looking at the bowl of CO on the kitchen counter for over a week and just wanted to get rid of it! And yet my counter is still not clean :(

    Oops

Cut. Not sure if I can still take any to market like I planned if not I'll just grate most of it for laundry detergent. I keep a few bars for poop stain removal.

    Oops

Yes I have been sick and it takes days to get it together to make even one loaf of soap so last night I mixed the lye and thought to hell with it I'll just get this done lol. Hubby was already in bed. So I mixed while the lye was still quite warm and I had melted the CO so that was warm too. I...

    Feeling hateful today...

What kind of mother just walks away from her kids. I seriously don't understand that.

    Oops

And I saw it coming too. But I didn't find a cold spot.

    In need of prayer

I'm also not one to pray but my thoughts are with you, I hope he pulls through. I'm sorry you are going through this, how awful.

    Selling in the US

I think I did and it was for US businesses to cover Canada or a Canadian business selling in Canada. I am not 100% certain though, I read the FAQs the other day and just looked again. It didn't look like it was what I needed? I can't seem to find one for a business based in Canada for selling...

    Selling in the US

Interesting, I wondered about that. I have no idea if my soap is sold in a store or whatever where the liability rests and who needs what coverage. The company is actually based in Canada too, but sells to Canada and the US. I do not think they have any kind of coverage to sell soap. All I...

    Selling in the US

I'm in Canada and my insurance only covers me for selling in Canada. A distributor is interested in selling my products to her US customer base - is that even possible? I googled and I can't figure out if there is any affordable insurance that covers a Canadian soaper in the US. My current...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I tried to rebatch a zappy hand-stirred soap. Unfortunately after I put it in the oven I forgot all about it. It overflowed :(

Where did all my soap go!

I knew it! There IS a soap-stealing fairy. Grr.

    Aww congratulations! Great news.

Where did all my soap go!

Is there a soap stealing fairy or something? I've made at least 7 batches since October and I'm doing a neighborhood sale on Saturday. I'm lucky if I can see fifteen bars in three fragrances to take :( where is it all? A friend came the other day and bought six but that shouldn't have done it...

    Decisions

I decided on c. Since I now have more than one mold. I also changed my recipe to full water and did the swirls, and have put it outside (outdoor freezer!). I'm going to stick with full water from now on I think, because my recipe always thickens faster than I'd like.
