What soapy thing have you done today?

Beautiful! Love the colors as well. It's a subaddiction within the (soaping) addiction, though be warned :) ETA: thanks for sharing which discs and beveling key you used as well. It is really hard to figure out what those are going to look like, so it is very useful.

Any soapers here from India? Say hi

Kerala is incredibly beautiful. But it was too long (I was meant to return to the US after a couple of years but things happened, including COVID) and I missed home. Tamil Nadu is beautiful as well!

    ROE in hard oils?

I've been thinking about this and was reminded by a post by @Barefoot Farm Girl. Do those of you who use hard oils add ROE to them? If so,how? I've never added ROE but think it might be time to start. My recipe is very heavily lard (and lately tallow) based. It seems weird to melt it...

Any soapers here from India? Say hi

I was in India for seven years and returned to the US in 2022, I wish I'd known you were out there! I would have loved a local soaping buddy. I was in Kerala, where are you?

    Need some soap schooling

Solid state Everything gets weighed in grams What @AliOop said about GSE and ROE What @dibbles said about gel -I think that you probably did get gel when you CPOP'd, especially if it cracked. Also if you did not get a partial gel ring or something else that made it obvious that it wasn't fully...

What is going on with Soapsupplies.net?

Thanks @Mobjack Bay and @paradisi. I know she (or whomever is running the business now) is getting the emails because they are not bouncing back and I've also sent a message through the website "contact us" form. It's not worth the aggravation to follow up. But I think it is worth flagging...

What is going on with Soapsupplies.net?

I used ss.net in my past soaping life, and had good experiences with the products and the service. Since I started soaping again about a year ago, I emailed the owner, Paige, a couple of times with questions. No reply. I figured she was busy so just let it go and did not order whatever it was...

    are fragrances just hideously expensive?

@MobjackBay, thank you, I have seen that thread, but it was nice to be reminded and to look at it again. It is definitely a good one! @GuacamoleSalad, re FO's, adding to @MobjackBay’s link with some more, below. A couple of caveats: a big issue with many FO review links at this point is that...

    EO blend test results

I hardly use FO's and this is still an amazingly helpful thread. Thanks, @Mobjack Bay

    are fragrances just hideously expensive?

The problem with trying to identify companies which make fragrances that stick is that it seems like *all* of them make a few fragrances that stick really well, but also for all of them the majority of the scents do not. After buying hundreds of FOs, it seems like there is no way to predict it...

Raw or Pasteurized Goat Milk Lotion?

I used to make cheese so this comment is limited to that context, but I believe beneficial bacteria in milk are usually referred to with respect to ingestion. Ie; they provide gut benefits in terms of digestion, nutrition, etc. There is a huge trade-off there, one which most cheese makers...

    Fragrance Oil Testing

I don't know if it's a great idea to test in MP for FOs you'd use in HP but don't really know because I have never made HP. Because MP is already fully saponified, you don't have to worry about lye eating the fragrance. I think saponification mostly takes place during the make in HP (rather...

    Soda ash

It does! Really like the swoopy swirls on the other as well.

What Bath & Body Thing Have You Done Today?

I haven't made the pourable diy b&b one yet, but agree that both the regular one and a humblebee one I made (I think the white chocolate one, adapted for scent and to add rice protein) have plenty of lather. I think @SoapSisters slsa theory is a good one.
