Hi all,
So what are the possible outcomes of adding lye solution and oil mixture in different temperatures.. we all different in regions having different temperatures.. our room temperature is 33°c. When I mix lye solution especially milk and aloe Vera it will be cold and just below the room...
I don't know..I also wonder the same.. a company sells a pharma grade lye for 125Rs and another one sells a technical grade lye for 525 Rs, and another one sells a lye for soap making at 500Rs.. couldn't find the reasons why???
In India NAOH is sold by soap making dealers at two prices, some sell at 500 Rupees range and other ones at 100 rupees range.. all of them are whole sale suppliers.. is it the same in other countries too.. what should i look for while buying Lye?
Thank you and yes I have been consulting a dermatologist and applying the prescribed steroid for over a year now.. dermatitis doesn't seem to leave me..😉😔.. I am going to back to square one now in soaping now...

I buy my lye from a soap supplier .. and Thank you for the detailed response.. I would definitely follow your suggestions and tried to rule out the culprit..

yes the EO that i used initially are not good so i threw all the soaps and then i bought from authorized dealers and started using them.. Also i usually use about only 2% of the total oil weight. i run them through fragrance calculator and use less than prescribed amount to be on the safer side.
Yes i get it, this was one of the recipe that i made like 8 months ago.. i am trying to fine tune my recipes recently like u mentioned above.. i have developed allergy for sure and it is not going to go away immediately .. i even stopped making soaps in the interim but i just couldn't let it go...
