What soapy thing have you done today?

I made some cloud embeds for a sky soap I'm hopefully making today. Just need my Brambleberry delivery to arrive! I guess I can paw through my micas again while I wait.

Why did my soap turn brown?

Here's the test soap from brambleberry's site. I'm guessing that's what's happening in your soap.

    Evaporated Goats Milk

Evaporated goats milk is 2x stronger than regular. I've used it a couple times by adding the canned portion to my oils and using the water that I would have used to reconstitute it in my lye and didn't get that sort of discoloration. I'd check your temps, and do what you can to keep things cool...

Who are your favorite youtube soapers?

I find Katie and Kenny's videos from Royalty Soaps engaging. I like her spunk/character. Though it may be a bit much for some.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I donated some of my soap to a silent auction to benefit a friend of a friend. That feels nice, and I hope it helps. In order to do that I got to play around with shrink wrap bands for the first time. Bit of a learning curve there...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I cut my 2nd try for Amy Warden's Food & Drink challenge, and was a tad disappointed. I think the puree I used had a slight discoloring affect. The first try (that I forgot the food item in), turned out pretty well, though with a little less definition between the red and the pink in the red...

    Random Picture thread (non-soap)

That sounds so pretty! That is so odd/amazing. I only ever saw them as tiny annuals. Well, you learn a new thing every day. I felt that way about my grandma's peony bushes, except with ants. They were so pretty, and smelled so good, but the ants thought so too! Unnerving to say the least...

    Random Picture thread (non-soap)

@Zany_in_CO & @dibbles They are both Columbine, just different varieties. The periwinkle is Winky and the red is Origami. Fushia are great too, but have a different growth habit. Not as tall and upright, they're more drapey. I usually see fushia as hanging baskets. I'd love to try them...
