    Have you used Wellington Fragrances??

Wellington I am currently using some of their fragrance oils for my CP soap and have found that a few of them either morph during soaping or either do not afix themselves well in the soap and quickly fade. Also there are a few that really don't own up to what you might think they smell like...

    Hershey's Cocoa Smells awesome

Cocoa I too have used Hershey's Cocoa in a small batch of CP soap...And let me tell you 1 tablespoon per pound of oil was enough to bring the scent right on through and also kinda give it that melt in your hand creamy feeling too! I mixed the cocoa powder in at light trace and made sure I...

How to avoid that horrible smell in goat's milk soap?

Goat's Milk Since you are using powdered goats milk...I use that also and have found that adding it directly to the oil BEFORE adding the lye seems to give the best mix....Especially since the lye has reacted with the water and you can control the heat a little better...Just be sure to blend...

    Bath Bomb goo....

Oil in Bath Fizzies In my bath fizzies, I use either Almond Oil or Grapeseed Oil and so far everyone has really liked how they feel after their baths and have not complained about abundant oil in the tub afterwards. I guess since these oils are lighter and more readily absorbed into the skin.

I have just made my first bactch of CP Oatmeal, Milk & Honey with a loofah embedded in the log. I can't wait to unmold it! I have one question though: What is the best way to cut the log into bars since the loofah is a bit tougher than just plain soap?

    essential oils/how much?

Essential Oil Usage I have found out that using 1 oz of EO per 2 lb batch of CP soap seems to work pretty well...The scent is not overpowering and is very pleasant...Also have used this amount without any problems during the production of the soap (no seizing, accelerated trace, etc.)

    has anyone bought from wellingtonfragrance.com?

Wellington I bought approximately 20 FO from them and so far am pretty pleased. I use them in CP soap. Some accelerate trace and sometimes seize (not necessarily a bad thing--end up with whipped soap) but am finding that the scents I have used stay pretty true with the exception of Sugar...
