To all who have contributed to this thread: After the latest developments on another thread, now locked by the mods, and as a consequence of a brief interchange of PMs with one of them, 2 things have become apparent to me: 1. That in this forum, some members are more "valued" than others...

You can do several things. You can either reinforce them (one good choice would be to use fiberglass, if you know how to work with it), or you can make a silicone mold out of it (easy, but expensive), or you could make smaller molds and use them in the freezer, for non gelled soap.

OK...plastic! Round? Square(ish)? Rectangular(ish)? Which size?

I agree 100%. However, what I said for Carebear, I think also applies for Mrdoright. There are ways to say things without being offensive, or at least hostile. I have a lot of respect for Carebear's knowledge, and, for what I've seen, she can be a nice lady, in the rare occasions she chooses...

A tank is a soap cutter that's built like...well, like a TANK! It's the $300 cutter I'm trying to make a cheap version of. Welcome Martin. :)

I have used eucalyptus and peppermint. I love the scent, and the fresh feeling of peppermint on the skin, but they are irritant, so be careful with the amounts you use.
