    Tinosan working for you?

I've made a face lotion that I love, and used tinosan as the preservative, but it's started to grow a little mold after about 3 weeks. I do use my fingers in it, but only after a shower so they are as clean as possible. I'd hate to see if I used dirty fingers! I'm using .5%, it recommends .3%...

ai yi yi, 'all natural' listings on etsy --NOT!

I get that there are no real restrictions on labeling something as "natural", but how do they get away with NOT listing ingredients; Isn't that required by law, even for soap?

How to tell if cp or hp

Never thought of that, Kellyann, thanks. I think I would have asked; I was not there, and according to my husband it was sort of meant only for the guy she was talking to? I would've liked to know what she was thinking, too.

How to tell if cp or hp

I don't know how to ask this without it sounding smar-a$$, but does it matter? Just curious as to why you would want to know? Is one better than the other? The reason I ask is because a long time ago when I first started making soap my husband got into a converstion with someone at our store...

Or is it just used for thickening lotion or hardening soap? Any negative effects on skin?

    Goat's Milk

I use it...and love it! I use it in soap and lotion. I've never heard anything negative about goat's milk, other than having to be very careful not to let the lye burn it up :D

    Silicone Substitute

Cant help you Dannybaby, but was wondering if you know anyone, or if anyone on this board has used the "no poo" baking soda method for any period of time and what were your results? Let us know what you come up with; they both sound very interesting!

Scents and oils safe for babies

Tabitha; I agree with you totally. What I am trying to say is that the medical community in general seem to just go with the "status quo", and that if you are looking for more natural, homeopathic, herbal, etc., you would need to go to a specialty doctor, not just your family...

    Lotion drying out skin?

Thank you, Bubbles; I did think of that...AFTER I'd already made the lotion. I decided I would just use it at night, but if it's really this drying I'll pitch it and start over! Thank you!
