I loved cpop and found the bar did cure faster and was more mild, then one day soap over heated in the oven, blew up like a mushroom cloud and then I had to get a neighbor to help me dismantle the interior oven so I could clean up all the scented soap. Destroying my oven in which I cook food...

wow, I guess soap makers have to die, somehow...he died in the presence of his craft supplies. If I died this moment, I'd be surrounded by lye, cocoa butter, lotion base olive oil, fragrances, etc.... RIP...fellow soapmaker

I am resigned to the fact I can ONLY make 7 lbs a day or 30 bars. I've tried huge batches and they always end horribly.

I buy 8 oz and 16 oz bottles, mainly due to limited finances. Then I force myself to use up fragrances before I buy more.

I now have what I call my "partner" I do outside flea markets and I brought a large tarp with rope threaded through the holes. When I need to take a food or bathroom break, I cover my product with the tarp and tie the string to a table leg.

Re: most epic cp failure I've rebatched every last mistake, I look at the caremel cake of soap and see all it's good qualities reborn in another bar of soap (I always mix rebatch with new soap batter) I made peanut butter soap once, threw it in the back of a closet (peeee-yewww) months...

The soap I made is a mushy mess, it is barely firm meaning I can slice it but it dents pretty easy. I say it's hydrogenated soy or maybe columbus foods has a "crisco version" a palm and soy combo. I won't know till it cures but based on texture it's not coconut...
