    What happened to Faithy??

Tabitha, I know that ALL members are supposed to be bound by the rules of the forum. And, NO ONE should be exempt; including Faithy, me, you, or anyone else. I was just curious, because in the times that Faithy has answered any of my questions or the questions that others have had (the ones...

    What happened to Faithy??

Didn't know where else to put this, so I put it here. I was just wondering what happened to Faithy. I had come to depend on her tutorial about making liners out of freezer paper. Today I went to the tutorial section, and her tutorials are gone. I did a search for her in the member list and...

Hey Payl... Would you do us a favor??

I know I'm not Paul, but here's the "down and dirty" about RTCP. RTCP stands for Room Temperature Cold Process. It's basically the same thing as CP (Cold Process) except you don't worry about the oils and lye being at a certain temp. You make up your lye solution, melt your oils, and let...

Hey Payl... Would you do us a favor??

Jean, I have a soap that I make with Canola Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil and Olive Oil only. It never gets hot. Barely even gets warm. And, it never gells. But, it sets up very quick and gets hard as a brick! I have another one that I make with Crisco, Lard, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil. and...

Hey Payl... Would you do us a favor??

Hey Paul, Would you please put up a tutorial on making up lye water ahead of time and using it in future batches? I'd like to do this because thanks to faithy, I now only do RTCP. And, sometimes I don't want to have to wait forever for the lye water to cool down. Thank you in advance...

    Goat's milk in soapcalc

The other day, I made a batch of soap that contained no water. None, except the water that I used to make green tea. I took the recommended amound of liquid, and used 1/2 green tea and 1/2 goat's milk. The next time I do that, I will freeze my green tea though. Adding the lye directly to the...

Tube Soap Molds, have u tried them?

Hey Jadiebugs1, Cool looking soaps. Since you use photobucket for your pics (I do too), it's rather easy to post a pic. Go to photobucket and find the pic that you wish to post. Under the pic, there is a list. Left click on the words that says, "IMG Code." After you do, there should be...

    Baby Poo Lemon Log... lol

Faithy.... you're a nut!!!!!!!! Barb, I knew you weren't thinking that I was stupid. You don't strike me as that kind of person. :) But, I felt stupid. Not your fault at all. I just get really ticked off at myself when I can't see/understand something sooo simple. I tend to expect...

    Baby Poo Lemon Log... lol

Okay... I thought you had to have something in a liquid state (such as water) to begin with. I didn't realize that it was alright to start out with all the liquid as frozen cubes and add the lye directly to that and only that. Thank you for clearing that up for me!! I'm not stupid...
