I am not sure why but I had a dramatic change in a soap made with turmeric. It started out really deep orange but then transformed in a spotted soap.

Kiwi, It has stayed pretty much the same. It has been very interesting to watch it go from a pumpkin purée color to very pale and then to it’s current color palate. Here is a picture of how it looks as of today.

I used a turmeric that was a dietary supplement in capsule form. It might have a very small amount of other additives too. I am surprised at the transformation and it’s interesting to watch it change. A spice turmeric may not behave like this.

Put together a Christmas themed soap today. Scented with peppermint EO with just a touch of cedarwood EO added. Hopefully it will turn out well and tomorrow when I cut it I will take better pics.

I will try and attach a couple of pictures taken after I cut the soap today. It was softer than normal after 24 hours.

Does mixing these two essential oils at about .5 oz ppo seem excessive? This soap appeared to trace very quickly but I did manage to get it in the mold twice. I will be interested to cut into it later today to see what it looks like.
