Whatever happened to Soapmaker Man?

He was so active on here a few years ago and he seemed so nice. Anyone know what happened to him? I notice his etsy store is closed, now too.

He is an older gentleman. I bought one of his soap cutters awhile back and he seemed very nice.

From what I've heard through the soap grapevine (people on another forum who heard it from others), he came down with some serious health issues last year that caused him to get way behind and prevented him from being able to keep up with orders. Unfortunately, I have no way of personally verifying that, nor do I know how he is faring at present, but I hope he pulls through and is able to get back on his feet. I know many had quality issues with his products (leaky molds, etc...), but for what it's worth, he was always nice to me and the 2 molds I bought from him way back in 2006 are still working perfectly for me with no issues.
