Not sure if this is the correct "place" for this...

What is the best way to use your bulk butters or especially your solid state oils? The container mine are in make it almost impossible to get any out without melting a substantial amount.

Looking forward to your suggestions, :) Jennifer

buy small buckets at Lowes or Home depot. don't forget the lids.
then either melt your oils and pour into the buckets, or cut the bottles open and get it out that way.

OR you can melt and pour off into various small containers.

Are you talking about butters and hard fats that are in 1 gallon bottles, like from Soaper's Choice? If so, melt and pour into buckets like the post above states.

If you are talking about oils already in buckets, but hard? Break those up with a knife or chisel. I like my hard fats in 5 gallon buckets. In the winter the pko is especially hard. I use a butcher knife and old rolling pin to break it apart in chips & chunks.
