I have a large baggie of beet powder that I am anxious to try-did you do an infusion or put it directly in the oil?

I had about 3 ts od beet powder that sat in 1/4 cup evoo for three days. when I added this to 1/3 of 35 oz oils at light trace. It was swallowed up. Then I added more beet and still only kept getting greener.
