I have two bars of my “Bare Naked” Soap sitting on my desk; the first is from my second month of soap making, the second is from a year later. There is such a marked contrast between the two soaps even though they are the same recipe.
I just want to say thank you to all of the “old timers” here who made that second soap possible. It was your words to me and to other new soap makers that had me stepping back after that Craft Fair as I realized I wasn’t ready to sell soap because there was more to making soap…than just making soap.
As cliche as it might sound…I had to find myself in my soap.
For all new makers…the rabbit hole is deep, but there are great folks here who are happy to give you hand back out. They won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but they will tell you what you need to hear.
