100%, if I'm making solid lotion bars.

What do you want to make and with which other ingredients? What's the effect you want?

i want to make a soap gentle and moisturizing for my 4 month old son. i will be using coconut, palm, olive and avacado for its nutrients and shea butter for its moisturizing qualities. i am not sure how much shea is too much.

I think most homemade soaps will be a lot better for him than the store brought ones (but thats just an opinion) as they have all that lovely glycerine in them too.

But I'd try 5-10% and then adjust according to the results

I wouldn't use coconut oil on a baby that young, (in fact I wouldn't use any soap or cleansing product, I'd rather use an unscented bath oil till at least 6 months), a bastille soap would be better.

ive used as much as 6oz per 2 lb batch, the more shea or butter you use, the less bubbles, use castor for bubbles.
