Well i have to say im pleased as punch to have finally gotten this right.
It smells, feels and looks amazing. The colour is a beautiful soft lemon colour, and the fragrance is lavender. I LOVE IT! Cant wait for 4 weeks to go!!!

This is my 2nd attempt, just trying to get the recipe right first then can start experiementing with colours. My first was an utter failure. I think since it didnt go through gel it was a soft sticky buttery mess, but this rocks!

I have a couple pics, first batch and 2nd. You can see the difference!!

Enjoy

Your first batch is hilarious! I've had similar happen when I try to unmold too soon- it is just so sticky and soft, but the soap itself is fine. I bet if you just pare down the ungelled soap after it has firmed up, it would look beautiful. However, your gelled soaps are just why I like to gel most of the time. Nice and firm and you can unmold and cut fairly quickly. Very calm and soothing looking soap there!

I have to say, your last picture looks like brie cheese or one of those soft cheeses with a mold rind! ;)

Haha yeah imagine my husbands delight when i told him i had made soap for the first time, and that was what i had to show him. I think he thought i was telling porkies!

Love your second batch ... but I'm sure your first batch will become better as it cures and then, if you wish, you can tidy those bars!

Welcome to our addiction!

Awesome glad to see your enoying your soaping, our first batches I dont think we ever forget. Mine was a kit everything weighed and ready to put together.............but I was soooooo nervous and partial gel was a given cause I kept unwrapping it to look :0)
