So today California lottery stations started selling the Powerball tickets in addition to the others they sell. It's a big one because previously the Powerball wasn't available in California. Well I live in Nevada and we don't have the lottery here (I guess they figure casinos have the market lol) but I live sort of in Reno and so it's only about a half hour or hour drive to multiple locations in California, however the rare moments when we do go out of our way to get a lottery ticket, we go to Gold Ranch which is the border of Verdi NV and I think Truckee CA (I could be mistaken... I honestly have no idea what part of Cali that is).

Anyway... my point (yeah there is one). I thought to myself how nice (however improbable) it would be to win the Powerball. My first thoughts to do with the money? Buy a house with a space all for my soaping. Silly huh? =p I think I'm hopeless.

That's close. If I want to get a Powerball ticket I drive up to Cold Springs. The convenience store up there is on the California side of the line. In fact some Cold Springs residents have backyards in California!

If I won I would do a lot of things, buying everything I want for soaping would be one of them, lol.

Hallelujah Junction? That's a great place to go too. My dad would go there when he lived in Cold Springs and we used to go there to get our tree cutting permits when we hunted christmas trees. lol

Hmm, no there's one that slightly closer. I can't remember the name of the street. You know you go over the hill into Cold Springs... but you pass White Lakes. What's the next exit - Village something? That store is actually in California believe it or not, lol. Chuck's Charlies, something .I don't know but we have bought lotto tickets there before. Bordertown? I don't remember!

No it has to be the exit right after Bordertown, because that's still in NV.. but yeah that's what everyone calls Hallelujah Junction.. it's just a bump in the road gas station.

I thought Hallelujah was further out. It's been a long time since I've been up that way anyway. :)
