Powdered colors

I have purchased a few oxides to color soaps and lip balms with. They color things great but cleanup afterwards is a hassle. Liquid may fade but it is easier to clean. What is a good way to clean up soap and balm dishes after mixing powdered colors with soap bases and other products?

For MP, I almost always mix my powdered colorants with a bit of glycerin before mixing it in the soap, so there's never been any problems with clean up.
