Number 1: 50% olive oil, 30% coconut oil, 20% palm oil with orange & cinnamon FO and orange mica powder. Separated/curdled so had to HP

Number 2: 55% lard, 25% olive oil, 20% coconut oil with frankincense FO half coloured with beetroot powder, imagine my surprise when that went yellow! Was hoping to attempt simple swirls but traced too quick. This went through the gel phase.

Number 3: As above but 5% less olive oil replaced with castor oil with sugar plum FO coloured with 2 pink micas. Was hoping to swirl in the pot but again traced too fast.

Those turned out nicely. The quick tracing could be caused by either your FO's or perhaps soaping too hot. If you soap at cooler temps and try adding your FO's to your oils before adding the lye/water mixture you may have better luck. Don't give up it's all part of the learning process. You should have some nice soaps there after a good cure. Congrats!

You made soap! All the pretty swirls and stuff will come with more experience. I really like the pink one :) I'm a newbie to and have found that even though I don't always get what I was aiming for, sometimes those happy accidents turn out just as great :)

Great job, those all look way better than my first batch! Love the pink one, it reminds me of the Bubblegum Princess from the Adventure Time cartoon
