I found this today. It's a plastic, oval canister holding sleeves of Crystal Lite drink mix. As for dimensions, it's 2.5 x 2 x 6.5.

Using the 40% calculation someone posted earlier, that's about 13 oz of oils. It would yield 6 oval bars, each a little less than 1" in thickness...basically a perfect gift package. Obviously, you might want to buy two, and make a double batch to make it worth the fuss. (btw, even though I bought it purely for the package, the drink flavor was "Mojito" and it's pretty good too. :-D)

What have you guys found for good molds?

Oh, that's a really neat oval mold! My favorites are still Pringles cans. Other than that, I use the mold my hubby made me. I can adjust it to any size batch so that's very practical.

Totally love that! Nice shape for a soap too. Just make sure you grease it with some mineral oil so your soap comes out easily....
