I did vinegar rinses, vinegar soaking, boiling water - it just took lots of that over and over again. Would love any better ideas that people bring, too.
I hafta apologize... I don't who it was, but they recommended ammonia. I owe (((that person))) a huge THANK YOU!!!
First I add 1 oz of ammonia to 31 oz. water in a glass liter/quart bottle. This gives me a general cleaning solution. I then pour it into empty EO & FO bottles to remove the lingering scent. Let set for a few hours or over night. Pour back into the liter bottle. Run through the dishwasher. Works great every time.
I usually use hot water with good amount of baking soda to get red of the oil smell in glass bottles , I forget about it for few days, it works great but I didn't try it on laundry bottles.
I use a good amount of table salt in hot water. Shake vigorously then let sit for a while, maybe a couple of hours? Rinse thoroughly and the scent is usually gone. If it's a strong scent, I repeat and it's good to go.
