I am noticing a darker color and less creamy texture in my soap that I made when I ran out of fresh from the farm GM and I used GM from the refrigerator section. Same exact recipe. Is that possible?

Stuff from the grocery is pasturized. Don't know if that would make a difference in color. It could, though. When I looked into making cheese, there was such a difference, that in cheese making, you cannot use pasturized. Only fresh.

Will be curious if anybody else chimes in.

goatsmilk

i have used gm in rtcp- i mix 1/2 my liquid using herbal tea or aloe with the lye, then i add the other 1/2 liquid as canned condensed gm along with honey just before fragrance. i have so far had great results. i do the same with full fat yogurt and coconut milk.
