I've noticed my soap is feeling more tacky, it seems to have happened after switching from sodium citrate to citric acid. I dilute the citric acid in about 30ml of water before adding to lye water. Can diluting it in too much water affect the reaction?

Are you adding extra water compared with when you were using sodium citrate? In other words, not dissolving the citric acid in a split of the water from the recipe, or in the lye water before you add the lye? If so, that might be a contributing factor, depending on batch size.

To get the best help, it's best to post your entire recipe, with lye and water weights as well as the amount of any additives.
