I was gifted 3 bottles of Black Castor Oil. I've read up on the diff between regular Castor Oil and Black Castor Oil, but haven't seen anything to tell me how to use it in soap. I don't see it in the lye calculator list (soapcalc.net).

Can I use this in CP Soapmaking? Thank you for your help.

You can but it is darker than regular castor oil and much more expensive. You just select castor oil in soap calc. It’s better suited for haircare and skincare products, but if you want to use in soap it’s totally fine.

Black castor oil is wonderful for the skin. I use it on my face as a moisturizer, on scalp for hair growth & it also helps arthritis in my knees. It has great properties. I haven’t used it in soap because it’s quite more expensive and is a great oil by itself. Let us know if you try it in soap and how it goes! 💗

I agree, I wouldn't use this expensive and lovely oil in soap, where the good qualities are likely to be greatly diminished or even destroyed by the lye solution.
