My next batch of soap I am going to see how an all hard oil soap does using: Coconut, lard and new crisco w/ palm. Anybody have any problems with an all hard oil soap? I saw where someone adds salt to theirs...how much and what kind and when?

No salt needed. And make sure the soap gels or you will get thick sticky ash.

You have to forgive me I am a newbie...watcha mean by gels? This will be hot process soap too.

No need to worry if you are HP'ing it. It's already heating up and saponifying. Cold process gel is when you add heat or the process itself generates enough heat while in the mold to turn the soap thick and more translucent and it speed saponification.
