I have been waiting for this moment!

Oil of Olay bottle finally empty! Yahoo! So, today I tried making a moisturizer for daily use on my 66 (barely) year old skin. I was aiming for non-pore clogging, as un-greasy as as possible, small (1 4 oz. jar) batch, just for me. The end result was pretty, filled 1 1/2 4 oz. jars, probably...

ISO a "Natural" Smelling Vanilla FO

Hi everyone. I'm searching for a vanilla fragrance oil that has a very natural, non-chemical scent. Kind of like the old version of The Body Shop's Vanilla Perfume Oil. I've only heard a few other people complain about this, so I think this is just a case of us being hypersensitive, but my...

When do you add fragrances in LS?

I feel like I'm asking too many questions lol. I watched many youtube videos about making liquid soap, but they don't mention adding fragrances. How do you add fragrances and where do you get them? How much would you add in? Will fragrances make soap thinner? If it does, can you use NaOH to...

Hope you apologise me if I ask something which has been answered, but there are soo many threads here... I have a simple question. What do I do wrong if my soaps dont smell much with the essential...

    Fo supplier question.

Ok so awhile back I bought a bottle of FO from another soaper but she would. OT give me the name of the supplier and overcharged me for the oil I am sure which is what it is because I wanted it. But I know a lot of her scents and I think her supplier is Wellington. Problem is I have never used...

    IFRA Guidelines for Fragrance Oils

Hi all, I'm a newbie when it comes to soap in general, and am looking to make and sell bars of M&P soaps. However, one thing I keep bumping into is the mention of "IFRA Guidelines". Some sites seem to harp on following these rules (WSP chief among them, as they list maximum fragrance loads...

    Dilution Ratio

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good dilution rate for essential oils in a carrier oil. Say for instance if I have my EOs of lemon, sweet orange, and patchouli, what rate would I dilute it at to make it any easier to handle FO so to speak. I got a lot of inspiration from a woman here...

Bath & Body Works FO's Safe?

Does anyone know if the Bath & Body Works FO's are safe for skin? I saw today that they have a bunch of their soap scents available as a heated home fragrance oil, but on the label said "Eye Irritant". Does anyone have experience with their oils in CP soaps? Thanks

    Weak Frangrace in Soap

I've become a little bit jealous of some competitors whose soap seems to just lock in the fragrance so nicely. I've notice that they are mostly using spice or flower type scents, while I'm using things like chocolate and citrus. However, it doesn't seem to matter whether I use 3 Tps or 15, the...

Looking for a really nice Bayberry scent for soap

Anyone have a recommendation for a Bayberry scent for soap? The scent I am thinking of is the deep, green, spicy scent, no musk or little musk though. The Scent Works has one, New England Bayberry and it sounds perfect but I've sometimes been dissapointed with the fragrances there. Love, love...

NEWBIE: Can you make your own fragrances for soaping?

Can you take things like vanilla pods, cinnamon, fresh mint etc and add it to some olive oil and add that to your soap instead of using store-bought fragrance oils/essential oils?
