I just got an email from Essential Depot that says:

"I wanted to let you know that we are selling our current stock of Essential Oils, Fragrance Oils and Hydrosols at never to be repeated prices.

We are calling it our Essential Depot ISO9000 Readiness Sale, and we will be taking an extra 1% discount off every item, every day until we are sold out of these items. Thats an additional 10% after 10 days etc, etc ......

Essential Depot is introducing new ISO9000 system compatible product labels on the above products and we want to sell out of all the existing inventory.

These items are already discounted 25% to 75% to kick off the promotion, and the ever accumulating extra 1% discounts will be added each day until all items are sold out.

Click on one of three links below, but grab yours while you can, items will go out of stock as they sell out."

Here are the web links provided in the email:

I received the same email, only problem is the prices are exactly the same as they were before the sale, which is much higher than what they used to sell their essential oils for, all of a sudden they had a Hugh price increase. Wonder if they will go down 1% per day?

I received an email that their lye was going up 20% but it went up much more than that; the 16 lbs of sodium hydroxide went up
almost $10 from my order in April. The order in April came shipped Priority Flat rate mail, and was packed in a shirt box, that couldn't
hold the weight, and the box arrived broken in half. I had to put gloves on to take the contents out. I'm not sure if Sodium Hydroxide is even supposed to be shipped by USPS? But for now I am have decided to shop elsewhere.

What??? I wonder what in the world is going on if the "sale" prices are the same as usual. I've never looked through their scent line, just ordered NaOH and KOH. Maybe the new line they're making room for will be priced better. Sorry about your poor experience with them. :?

I've learned not to trust their "sale" prices. There are some items that are always marked as being on sale for a limited time and the price never changes. I'm disappointed to hear that their lye prices have gone up since they seem to be one of the most popular sources. I'll have to do some comparison shopping the next time I need to buy more.
