I hope this is the right area of the forum for this.
If you are not familiar with my projects I'm strictly a hobbyist and I give my stuff away, always have and as long as I remain employed I always will. So, there's no commerce here; I'm not looking to make (or steal anyone's) money.
I have a sample with an unknown scent that I would dearly like to duplicate for my own soaps. I know there are folks out there who will dupe scents commercially, but there's NWIH I can use $250 of FO in my lifetime. TBH if it comes down to it I probably will at some point if I can't get close otherwise. The wife will absolutely kill me though.
So if there's a person or even a few people out there who have a large library of scents and a discerning nose, I'd like to borrow it for a few sniffs to see if I can get close to an already available dupe. My nose is sensitive, but not discerning ... I can smell things but not brands if that makes sense.
