putting the "hanger" in hanger swirl

yep, a hanger is used to make a hanger swirl. The suggestion is to add something to reinforce the wire "dipper." Wider surface area = better definition in the swirl. People have used drinking straws, chopsticks held together with tape, anything that will help add a bit ot surface area really.
